Inspection Services Overview

Buyers Home Inspection

In both new and older properties, the best way to ensure that you are well informed about their strengths and weaknesses is to have Gary complete your home inspection.  Gary's experience and on going training are used to identify problem areas both small and large that may have been overlooked by the previous owners and to identify which require immediate attention. Sellers Pre-Sale Inspection

Whether you are selling your property on your own or using a realtor, it’s always a prudent idea to have a professional home inspection. Knowledge is power. All properties have strengths and weaknesses: we help you answer how serious the problems are, which must be immediately addressed and which can wait. The more you know about your home, the more prepared you will be for negotiation. Learn more.

Radon Testing

We use professional continuous radon monitors.  Results are available immediately after the test and are emailed to you for a quick turnaround. This testing procedure has consistently passed the U.S. EPA proficiency tests. Learn more.

Well Inspection and Testing

Is there enough water? Is the well in safe working order?  It is important to know that your private well was built correctly and protected adequately. Well repairs can be very expensive and may even require replacement -- with an added cost of abandoning an existing well. A well and pressure system inspection is commonly required by lenders when you buy, sell or refinance a home. Learn more.

Water Quality Testing

For most real estate transactions water is tested for bacteria, nitrates, arsenic, and occasionally lead. There are many contaminates that can be tested in your drinking water.  We have a courier that delivers water to the lab to insure there are no delays due to problems with shippers.  We have relationships with  several labs to provide any type of test you may need.     Learn more.

Forclosure/Winterized Property Inspections

Buying a forclosed home can be a great way to get a good deal. But, forclosed homes may have been abandoned and neglected. It is essential that you know how much repair the house actually needs, and how much you can reasonably expect to put into it. We have considerable experience inspecting forclosed and winterized properties and understand the challenges you may face. Learn more.

Septic System Inspection and Testing

Identifying the type and performance of the septic system is certainly important in preventing health risks to occupants and environmental contamination. Replacement systems are costly and may need to be completely upgraded to meet current sanitary building codes if the system has failed. If there is a private septic system on site you should have it inspected and tested regardless of the age. Learn more.
