About Radon

What is radon?

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in soils, rock, and water throughout the U.S. Radon causes lung cancer, and is a threat to health because it tends to collect in homes, sometimes to very high concentrations. For more information, read the EPA's A Citizen's Guide to Radon.
The above information is provided as a public service by the Environmental Protection Agency for educational purposes.
A continuous radon monitor is set up in the property per EPA protocol. Our preferred set time would be a minimum of 48 hours. Results are available immediatly upon completing the test and are also emailed to you. Our monitor will detect any type of tampering with the testing procedure. We will inform all occupants of the correct conditions to follow during the test.
